Heater Water Control Valve Replacing for Toyota Corolla?

Corolla procedure is similar for Toyota Celica, Corolla, ECHO & MR2 Car models.

The details to remove and install heater control valve is as follows:---

1. Partially drain the engine coolant from the radiator.
2. Mark and disconnect the cable from the heater control valve.

1. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater control valve.

Be careful not to pull on the heater core tubes when removing the heater hoses, since the heater core can be easily damaged.

1. Remove the bolt and the heater control valve.

To install:

1. Install the bolt and the heater control valve.
2. Connect the heater hoses to the heater control valve, making sure that the hoses and the clamps are past the outer flaring of the heater control valve tubes. Use new clamps.

1. Install the control cable to its premarked position.
2. Fill the cooling system, then start and warm the engine, making sure it stays full.
3. Stop the engine, pressure test the cooling system and check for leaks. Check for proper heater operation.
