Toyota Land cruiser and Toyota Sequoia Transmission removal?

The details for both Toyota Land Cruiser and Sequoia are similar.

How to replace Automatic Transmission on Toyota car models,The procedure for this is as follows :---
Transmission Removal & Installation Step by step Instructions are as follows :----



  1. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Oil filler pipe
    No. 1 engine undercover
    Exhaust pipes
    Front and rear driveshafts
    Nos. 1&2 vehicle speed sensors
    Solenoid connector
    Shift cable at the transmission
    Overdrive sensor connector
    Oil cooler lines
    ATF temperature sensor
    Park/Neutral switch
    End plate and converter clutch mounting bolts
  2. Raise the transmission slightly.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Crossmember
    Rear mount insulator
    Transmission and transfer case as a unit
  4. Installation is the reverse of removal. Note the following torques:

    Transmission-to-transfer case bolts: 53 ft. lbs. (71Nm)
    Rear mount insulator-to-transmission: 48 ft. lbs. (65Nm)
    Rear mount insulator-to-crossmember: 13 ft. lbs. (18Nm)
    Crossmember-to-frame: 53 ft. lbs. (71Nm)
    Torque converter clutch: 30 ft. lbs. (41Nm)

NOTE
Install the green bolt first.



Rear end plate: 13 ft. lbs. (18Nm)
Oil cooler lines: 25 ft. lbs. (34Nm)
Shift control bracket: 13 ft. lbs. (18Nm)

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Battery and tray
    Air intake assembly
    Cooling fan and shroud
    Coolant recovery reservoir
    Transmission dipstick tube
    Center console
    Transmission gear select lever and rod
    Transfer case shift lever and rod
    Engine under covers
    Exhaust front pipes
    Front and rear driveshafts
    Vehicle Speed (VSS) sensor connectors
    Overdrive clutch speed sensor connector
    Solenoid harness connector
    Transmission fluid temperature sensor connector
    Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch connector
    Center differential lock indicator switch connector
    L4 solenoid valve position switch connector
    Motor actuator connector
    Torque converter
    Transmission oil cooler lines
    Transmission mount crossmember. Support the transmission with a jack.
    Transmission flange bolts
    Transmission
To install:
  1. Install or connect the following:

    Transmission. Tighten the flange bolts to 53 ft. lbs. (72 Nm).
    Transmission mount crossmember. Tighten the bolts to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm) and the nuts to 54 ft. lbs. (74 Nm).
    Transmission oil cooler lines
    Torque converter. Tighten the bolts to 35 ft. lbs. (48 Nm).
    Motor actuator connector
    L4 solenoid valve position switch connector
    Center differential lock indicator switch connector
    PNP switch connector
    Transmission fluid temperature sensor connector
    Solenoid harness connector
    Overdrive clutch speed sensor connector
    VSS sensor connectors
    Front driveshaft. Tighten the fasteners to 59 ft. lbs. (80 Nm).
    Rear driveshaft. Tighten the fasteners to 78 ft. lbs. (106 Nm).
    Exhaust front pipes
    Engine under covers
    Transfer case shift lever and rod
    Transmission gear select lever and rod
    Center console
    Transmission dipstick tube
    Coolant recovery reservoir
    Cooling fan and shroud
    Air intake assembly
    Battery and tray
  2. Check the transmission and transfer case fluid levels and adjust as necessary.
